Raspberry Smoothie Bowl

I absolutely love smoothie bowls! They are great for breakfast, especially now in the summer when you want something light and refreshing, that at the same time is a filling and healthy breakfast! This raspberry smoothie bowl ticks all the boxes and is the perfect start to the day!

I always think having a smoothie bowl for breakfast is a bit like having ice cream for breakfast! It´s amazing! Plus, you know it´s healthy which is always a bonus! I make this raspberry smoothie bowl quite a lot, but my favourite smoothie bowl by far is this Blueberry Smoothie Bowl.

How do you make this Raspberry Smoothie Bowl?

This raspberry smoothie bowl is really quick and easy to make! All the ingredients should be ready to go in the morning, so all you need to do is blitz everything up in a blender! Then pour into a bowl and top with some fresh fruit, chia seeds, nuts, or granola! The choice is yours!

If you are looking for a good blender, I would thoroughly recommend this 3-1 blender. I bought it over a year ago and am very happy with it! It comes with a hand/stick blender, a mini food processor (which I use to make this smoothie bowl) and a whisk.

This raspberry smoothie bowl is made with frozen raspberries and bananas. Slice the banana into slices about half a centimeter thick, then place in a freezer bag and freeze overnight. You could slice and freeze multiple bananas to freeze in individual freezer bags to have some frozen bananas ready to go whenever you next fancy a smoothie bowl!

What are the best toppings to use for this raspberry smoothie bowl?

As I said, when it comes to toppings, it´s entirely up to you! My personal preference is to add some additional fresh fruit, such as some sliced kiwi, strawberries or some fresh raspberries!

I also like to add a little “bite” or “crunch” to my smoothie bowls by sprinkling on some nuts or seeds (chia seeds especially) or a bit of granola. Whilst shop-bought granola is great, I really enjoy making it myself! Recipe Tips

  • You can also use other milk if you like, for example normal milk, oat milk, soya milk, hazelnut milk etc…
  • If you don´t have a sharp-bladed blender, use half a frozen banana and half a fresh banana. That way it will be easier for your blender to blend it
  • Use bananas that are very ripe, almost turning brown, before you freeze and use them in this smoothie bowl. That way they will be at their sweetest and add the best possible flavour.
  • Whilst you are preparing your smoothie bowl you could chill your bowl in the fridge. That way the smoothie will stay cool for longer whilst you are putting on your toppings.
