Ingredients you’ll need for the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies
These peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies are very easy to make and only require a few ingredients! First of all you need a few store cupboard essentials such as flour, baking powder, brown sugar and an egg. Then, to add the flavour, you need some smooth peanut butter (make sure it’s 100% peanut with no added sugar) and some chocolate chips. If you have some vanilla sugar you can add that, alternatively half a teaspoon of vanilla extract will do the trick! Finally, these biscuits are decorated with some unroasted and unsalted peanut halves.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies
Recipe
Ingredients (makes 15-20):
- 150g plain flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 50g butter, softened
- 75g smooth 100% peanut butter
- 75g soft brown sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar (7g) or ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 medium egg
- Pinch of salt
- 100g chocolate chips
- About 30g unsalted and unroasted peanuts (to decorate)
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan and line two baking trays with some baking paper.
- To make the cookie dough, mix the flour with the baking powder in a mixing bowl, then add all the remaining ingredients apart from the chocolate chips and peanuts. Mix together until everything comes together in a smooth dough.
- Finally, add about ¾ of the chocolate chips and mix through the dough until evenly distributed.
- Roll the dough into small balls then press down gently to flatten until about 1cm thick.
- Press the remaining chocolate chips and peanut halves into the biscuits to decorate, then bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes until lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and leave to cool on the trays for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
