Mixed Summer Berry Smoothie Bowl
I love a good smoothie bowl for breakfast in the morning, and this mixed summer berry smoothie bowl is a recent addition to my list of breakfasts!
This Berry Smoothie Bowl is really easy to make, uses only 4 main ingredients and above all tastes berry delicious! Sorry – bad pun alert!
It´s an adaptation of my usual blueberry smoothie bowl (still my favourite to date!) and mainly just substitutes the frozen blueberries for mixed summer berries.
Mixed frozen berries are available at almost every supermarket and you can often buy them in big bags. I bought mine from Morrisons and it´s a mix of strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and blackcurrants.

I do find that the mixed summer berries be less sweet than blueberries, so I like to add some chopped dates or honey to the mix for some extra sweetness. This is completely optional though. You might find that if you are using a very ripe banana that is already quite sweet, you won´t need anything extra.
I use unsweetened almond milk for the berry smoothie bowl, but you could also substitute it with sweetened almond milk.
As with all smoothie bowls, the fun is also in the toppings you choose for it! I always like to add some fresh fruit (in this instance I used some blueberries I had left in the fridge), something crunchy (I used granola) and some seeds (I used chia, but sunflower seeds are also nice). Just go wild, adding whatever you like or whatever you have left over and want to use up!

That smoothie bowl looks so delicious! I love how you decorated it 😊😍
Thanks Valentina! Yes, decorating the smoothie bowl is one of the most fun parts! I love that you can add literally anything you want! My favourite topping though is some granola which gives it that extra little crunch!
