It´s the time of year of family visits and friendly get-togethers and perhaps you would like to impress with some easy yet delicious crowd-pleasing desserts?
The list below consists of 6 of my favourite dessert/pudding recipes, that are easy to make in large quantities to feed a crowd! Perfect for dinner parties, celebrations or pot lucks!
So let´s get into it – 6 Crowd-pleasing desserts that are perfect for your next dinner party or celebration!
1. Classic British Trifle
I´m starting off this list of crowd-pleasing desserts with one of my absolute favourites and one of my most popular recipes! A traditional, British Trifle! I absolutely LOVE trifle, it´s probably one of my most favourite desserts! Delicious layers of cake, jelly, fruit, custard and cream – what´s there not to love?
It is so easy to make a large trifle which will feed a crowd and it super quick to make if you use mostly shop-bought ingredients. Feel free to amp up the difficulty as much as you like by making a homemade version of the ingredients!
2. Chocolate Orange Trifle with Bailey´s Cream
I can´t believe how good this twist on my Classic Trifle Recipe this is! You will notice a common theme in my recipes, which is that I adore the flavour combination of chocolate and orange and also quite like adding Bailey´s to layers of whipped cream (also, see Chocolate Pavlova below).
This Chocolate Orange Trifle is made with tinned mandarin segments and orange jelly, as well as chocolate custard that is then topped with a Bailey´s whipped cream topping! Try it – it´s soooo good!!!
3. Homemade Tiramisu
A third, amazing way to end a dinner party, Tiramisu is another one of my absolute favourite desserts. I don´t drink coffee and don´t particularly enjoy the taste of it, but for whatever reason I adore it in Tiramisu!
It´s also so easy to make and perfect for making in large quantities to serve at a dinner party!
This Homemade Tiramisu Recipe serves about 6-8 people, and can easily be halved, doubled, tripled etc. according to your needs! It can be made in under half an hour and then only requires a good few hours in the fridge (I recommend chilling overnight) to allow all the goodness of the coffee and mascarpone cream filling to be soaked into the biscuits!
4. Festive Chocolate Pavlova with Bailey´s Cream
This Festive Chocolate Pavlova went down a storm when I made it for a Bonfire Night potluck. A delicious mound of meringue, drizzled with chocolate and finished with large dollops of whipped cream flavoured with Bailey´s Irish Cream!
Serve the pavlova with some homemade chocolate decorations (see tips for making those here) and insert some sparklers for a special Bonfire Night or New Year´s Eve wow-factor!
5. No-Bake Lemon Cheesecake
This No-bake Lemon Cheesecake is a classy, yet really easy dessert to make – the perfect way to end a dinner party! The lemon cheesecake doesn´t require any baking and is best prepared the night before and left in the fridge to chill and set overnight.
Use shop-bought Ginger Nut (Ginger Snaps in the US) biscuits and lemon curd for a speedy, no-fuss version of this cheesecake, or opt to use your own! Top with a mound of fresh summer berries and dust with icing sugar just before serving!

6. Meringue Roulade with Strawberries
Last but not least, this Mary-Berry-Inspired Meringue Roulade with Strawberries is a stunning yet easy to make dessert, which will end dinner on a high! It´s easier to make than it looks and can be ready to go within an hour! Simply bake the meringue, make the cream and Greek yoghurt filling, add the mixed berries and roll!
